Frequently Asked Questions
With all the patients treated over the years, we've got a few common questions. Here's some you may be wondering about!
Do you have free parking?
Yes, we do! There’s free parking all around the building. However, you will see parking meters. Please ignore them, you are safe. Do not put money in the meters.
There is a wheelchair ramp on the west side of the building (close to our clinics).
Our building is on the south-east corner of Kipling & Evans, immediately east of the Petro Canada gas station.
Who is eligible for OHIP physiotherapy?
Seniors aged 65+
Juniors aged 19 and under
Recipients of Ontario Works or ODSP (Ontario Disability)
Or if you have spent at least one night in hospital for the condition you wish to have treated.
YOU MUST HAVE A VALID (GREEN) OHIP CARD AND YOUR DOCTOR’S REFERRAL
Do you direct bill to insurance companies?
Yes, for the majority of insurance companies we are able to direct bill on your behalf. However, this varies with different plans and companies. If the insurance company accepts direct billing, we will too! Please ensure to check with your insurance provider if this is an option. If you need help, please ask.
Do I need to see my doctor prior to booking?
This depends. Some extended health insurance plans need a note from your doctor so you can get a reimbursement for your physiotherapy sessions, however, some others don’t.
Please check with your health insurance provider.
Will my insurance company pay for my cancelled appointment?
Please remember, insurance companies will only pay for appointments that YOU attended. They will not pay the clinic for cancellations or no-shows. Please try and give us at least 24 hours notice of cancellations so we have the opportunity to fill that appointment time.
Do you treat motor vehicle accidents? (MVA's)
Yes, we provide treatment for injuries due to Motor Vehicle Accidents. Many MVA injuries can be life-altering. The cost of your treatment will be covered by your auto insurance company & any extended health care benefits you may have. Ensure you have the information package that was given by your auto insurance when visiting us regarding this treatment.
